Following strong criticism within the leadership of PDP for the embattled PDP Chairman to take the path of honour and resigned his position after the party lost March 28 presidential election. Adamu Muasu has bowed to pressure and resigned his position as the chairman this morning May 20.
According to reports Muazu said that tired of all the stress he has been subjected to since the party lost the presidential elections. Ayo Fayose and Femi Fani Kayode have called for his resignation and that of other National Working Committee.
A PDP member confirmed Muazu's resignation on twitter and also claimed that Jonathan has asked members of the PDP Board of Trustees including Chief Tony Anenih to resign.
